Due to the expansion of our operations in Nigeria, we are seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, well organized and motivated resources for the following positions within the Company.

Job Title: IT System Administrator (REF:SYSAD)
Location: Port Harcourt Base
Reporting to: Company ICT Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:

• He/she is to involved in installation, administration and daily maintenance of the ICT infrastructure (e.g. servers, mass storage, backup devices, printers, routers and other tlc devices), paying attention to the various service agreements.
• Provides analysis and resolution planning in case of incidents; this may involve managing complex technical hardware or software problems.
• Manages mass storage (disk space management, housekeeping, HW monitoring) and ensures backup is performed according with data integrity and recoverability requirements.
• Manages physical and logical security as defined by Company standards.
• Resolves user configuration and authentication issues; provides users with appropriate support and advice.
• Provides database management and administration.
• Ensures compliance with software licensing laws.
• Assists in any project implementation plan and roll-out.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelors Degree/HND, with a technical major, such as computer engineering, electronic communication or computer science or equivalents.
• A minimum experience of three years in system administration experience.
• Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft or Cisco at least
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) – Level 1
  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) – Level 2
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - Level 3
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA version 640-803) – Level 1
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (Data Routing & Switching) – Level 2
  
  
• Proficient in Windows2003/2008 Active Directory, Server Administration
• Proficient in data and voice networking
• Proficient in CISCO Devices such as switches, routers and network appliance
• Proficient in Windows XP and Windows 7 desktop operating systems
• Proficient in handling HP Server Clustering platform (Fiber-Channel or ISCSI)
• Knowledgeable in Virtualization technology such as VMWARE or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Knowledgeable in TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, NETBIOS and different Network topology
• Knowledgeable in DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan)
• Knowledgeable in Terrestrial and Auto-Tracking VSAT

Job Title: IT Local Administrator (LCAD)
Location: Project Site
Reporting to: Company ICT Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides day to day technical support and administration of yards, vessels and branch offices' technology infrastructure.
• Acts as a single point of contact for all ICT requirements for the assigned yard, vessel or branch office.
• Supports, installation, oversight, administration and daily maintenance of ICT infrastructure (desktop, servers, tlc, etc.).
• Provides analysis and resolution planning in case of incidents; this may involve managing complex technical hardware or software problems.
• Manages yard, vessel and branch office ICT security as defined by Company standards.
• Assures that connectivity through satellite links works properly.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor (4-year) degree/HND with a technical major, such as computer engineering, electronic communication or computer science or equivalents.
• A minimum experience of three years in system administration experience.

Job Title: IT Software (Application & Web) Developer and Designer (SFTDEV)
Location: Port Harcourt Base
Reporting to: Company ICT Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes detailed specifications through discussion with users and clarifies precisely what actions the program is intended to perform.
• Breaks down program specifications and translates this logic into a programming language.
• Works in a team to write a specific section of the program
• Combines all elements of the program design and test it
• Tests sample data and corrects the program, as necessary.
• Installs the program and conducts final testing.
• Increases program operating efficiency and adapts to new requirements, as necessary.
• Conducts user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately; recreates steps taken by the user to locate sources of problems.
• Supports the user for optimal usage of the application.

Qualification and Experience

• B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent education and experience required. Masters degree preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with web application/object-oriented development required.
• Knowledge of Visual Studio.NET, C# or VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Data Modeling strongly preferred.
• Highly skilled in mathematical and analytical reasoning.
• Strong commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation
• Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
• Certifications in “one” the following areas is preferred but not required.
